Food Sensitivity Testing

Unlike immediate reactions to food allergies, food sensitivities can wreck havoc in the system, causing such well known sues as congestion, headache, joint aches, fatigue name a few. Food sensitivities can occur over a 24 to 72 hour period and raise insulin levels, thereby disrupting the delicate balance of hormonal influence in the body. Ideally, an elimination diet would help to determine which foods we are most sensitive too. However, these diets can be difficult, not to mention the fact that it is challenging to reintroduce foods one at a time in order to gauge any reactions. Additionally, there are dozens of foods to which someone might have a sensitivity.

A blood test that measures IgG response (by marking increased antibody response) is a great way to avoid the challenges of a food elimination diet, and to properly identify the offending foods (or herbs, or chemicals). ALCAT has been testing food sensitivities r 20 years and is the first FDA approved method of testing. Through this program we will test 100 different foods including gluten and dairy. We'll identify these food sensitivities, talk about the importance of eating based on an individual's own blood chemistry, and work through diets that are personalized and appropriate for reach person, based on individual results. This is also a great jumpstart for anyone who wants to lose weight.
